Ann Jones Hamilton

Ann Hamilton, age 63, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016 at her residence.
Ann was the daughter of Johnny H. H. Jones and Sarah (Clarence) White and was born in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee on June 13, 1952. She was married for twenty-eight years to Michael “Mike” Hamilton and they had a great life and family together. Ann’s family remembers her as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a hard worker all of her life and she was also a skilled beautician. She was a determined and talented person who built her own house. She loved her dogs, and was known for raising Boston terriers. One of her favorite hobbies was watching Gunsmoke.
Mrs. Hamilton is survived by her loving family including her mother and father: Sarah (Clarence) White of Mt. Pleasant; husband: Mike Hamilton of Mt. Pleasant; daughters: Connie Lynn Whitehead of Mt. Pleasant, Carrie Ann (Freeman Treat) Whitehead of Mt. Pleasant and Christy (Nolan) Derryberry of Summertown; grandchildren: Erica Nicole Whitehead, Jessica Rae Whitehead, Caitlin H. (Freddie) Barnett, William M. Luttrell, Alyssa C. Treat, Cody (Hannah) Allen and Grant Derryberry; 2 great-grandchildren; her siblings: Cindy (Chris) Frazier, Ginny Barnett, and Horton Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father: Johnny H. H. Jones.
Funeral services for Ann will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee with Bro. William Owens. Interment will follow in Blowing Springs Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Sunday, February 7, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.
William Luttrell, Younger Haywood, Mason Sears, Cody Allen, Nolan Derryberry and Michael Wherry will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Hospice Compassus and the Vanderbilt Burn Center.
