Betty Lou McClain Lee, age 87, died April 16, 2014. She was the daughter of Raymond McClain and Eloise York McClain. She grew up in the Mt Joy community of Maury County, graduating from Mt Joy Elementary School and Mt. Pleasant Hay Long High School before attending Columbia Business College. She was employed in the office at Victor Chemical Co, later Stauffer Chemical Plant, for 16 years. She is survived by daughter Mary Beth, son-in-law Thom Oliphant, grandson Holden Oliphant, sister Olivia Benderman, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sister Bobbye Chappell and brother Doug McClain. Betty attended Mt Joy Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and was a retired hospital volunteer.
