Betty Eugenia Odom Reed, 72, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at her residence. Betty was born on April 27, 1944 to the late Eugene Odom and Katie Chapman Odom in Maury County, Tennessee.

Betty worked as a supervisor over the Environmental Service at Maury Regional Medical Center for 30 years. She was of the Church of Christ faith. Her family describes her as one of the best grandmothers and great grandmothers anyone could ask for. Betty helped raise her great grandson, Kelton Owens, and loved him very much.

Funeral services for Mrs. Reed will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with Randy Kersey officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Sprouse, Jay McConnell, Jason McConnell, Allen Potete, Ray Hunter, and Jack Patterson. The past and present staff of Environmental Services at MRMC and great grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Betty will be remembered by her loving husband of 40 years, Harold Reed; Son, James Workman; Grandchildren, Lydia (Brandon) Sprouse, Katie Jackson, Amber Workman, Shyanne (Allen) Potete, and Jay McConnell; Great Grandchildren, Preston Workman, Kelton Owens, Collin and Olivia Sprouse; and several brothers and sisters. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her children, Karen (Jason) McConnell and Andy (Barbara) Workman; Sisters, Carolyn (Buddy) Massey, Pam Poston, and Nancy (W.H.) Workman; Brothers, Neal Odom and Bobby Gene Odom.
