Beverly Ann Orban

Beverly Ann Orban, 17 years young, beloved daughter, sister, and friend passed away August 16, 2013 in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee.

“Bev” as she was known to her closest friends and family was born November 21, 1995 in Cookeville, TN to Kenneth Orban and Kimberly Lee Akins. She was a well-known senior at Mt. Pleasant High School, where she was to graduate and attend college to follow her dreams of working in healthcare. She was very active in many clubs throughout her high school years. Bev served as FCCLA President, Delegate to Girl’s State, Vice President of FCA, Alumnus of Kids on Stage, HOSA, #15 on the Softball team, manager of the football team and was selected to participate in the MASH program at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Beverly lived a Godly life and knew Christ as her savior. Her two favorite scriptures to live by were 1st Timothy 4:12 and Samuel 16:7. “The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” She attended Acts Family Church in Mt. Pleasant.

The family will visit with friends Monday, August 19, 2013 from 3:00-8:00 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Services will follow on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at First Family Baptist Church in Columbia at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Tim Paul, Bro. Mark Johnson, and Bro. Bill Stone officiating. Burial will follow at the Pisgah Cemetery.

Beverly is survived by her parents: Ken (Deborah) Orban of Chattanooga, Kim Akins and Wendall Holder of Mt. Pleasant; brothers and sisters: Ben Orban, Bethany Orban, Andy Baranowski and Chan Baranowski; aunts and uncles: Larry (Shandi) Akins, David Orban, Vivian (Stanley) Moore and Anthony (Joyce) Howell, Robert Johnson, Carl (Melinda) Johnson, Sgt. John (Cante) Johnson; cousins: Williard, Witney and Willa Akins; grandparents: John (Christine) Orban, Frances Johnson and Tom “Paw” Jernigan; and a host of additional cousins, great aunts and uncles. She is also survived by her special friend and boyfriend, Mason Cothran and his parents Ray (Rosemary) Cothran.

Bev is preceded in death by grandparents Kenneth Akins and Dolly Akins Jernigan.
Houston Paul, James Hill, Adam Powell, Dee Owens, Christian Powell, Trent Gibson, Dakota Brown, Josh Russell, and Cory Clark will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the football team, softball team, Class of 2014, Buford (Tanya) Moss, Lee (Sonya) Pinkard, Erin Smith, Ron (Jenny) Kinser, Larry (Stephanie) Beck, Darryl (Delanie) Haywood, Steve (Gayla) Buchanan, Lori Stanfield, Courtney Pinkard, Chelsey Buchanan, Katelyn Haywood, Paige Morris, Kailey Clingenpeel, Joelie West, Rachel Kinser, Amanda Kinser, Brad (Kate) Stanfield and teachers/staff of Mt. Pleasant High School.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the MPHS Athletic Boosters Club P.O. Box 463, Mt. Pleasant, TN 38474 to benefit the Field House.
