Carolyn Faye Smith

Carolyn Faye Smith, 72 of Summertown, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017, at Maury Regional Medical Center. She was born on September 12, 1944 to her late parents, Samuel Clarence Smith and Guster Bailey-Smith. Carolyn was a member of Summertown Baptist Church. She touched the lives of hundreds of children by either babysitting or working in the church nursery. She was loved by many.

The survivors for Carolyn include: her sisters, Kay (Larry) Smith and Rosalie (Larry) Franks; brother, Frank (Linda Krueger) Smith; nieces: Beverly Smith, Vanessa (Brent) Kilpatrick, Leslie (Cody) Mathis, Jamie Franks; nephew, Christopher (Pam) Krueger; great-niece, Morgan Kilpatrick; and great-nephew, Trevor Hines. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The funeral service for Ms. Smith will be on Sunday, March 12, at 2:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Burial will follow the service in Summertown Cemetery. The family invites friends for visitation on Saturday, March 11, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include family and friends. The Staff of Mt. Pleasant Health & Rehab and past and present members of Summertown Baptist Church are all honorary pallbearers.
