Clarence Henry "Horton" Jones

Clarence Henry “Horton” Jones, 58 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away at home Thursday, June 16. Horton was a life-long resident of the Sheepneck community. He was talented with his work as a certified welder. He enjoyed horses, mules, and wagon trains.
A graveside service for Horton will be held Monday, June 20, at 11:00 a.m. in Blowing Springs Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. Pall bearers for the service will be Mitchell Jones, Cody Allen, Younger Haywood, Jonathan Anderson, Mason Sears, and William Luthrell. The members of the Local #492 Iron Workers are named as honorary pallbearers.
Survivors include: his father and mother, Clarence and Sarah White; son, Mitchell Jones; daughter, Mickey Jones; two sisters, Cindy (Chris) Frazier and Ginny Barnett; six grandchildren; Destin, Michael, Kendra, and Lil-Joe Amburgery, and Levi and Landry Jones. He was preceded in death by his sister, Maggie Ann Hamilton.
