Donald Allen “Spark Plug” Runions, age 65, of Hohenwald, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013 after an injury from a gunshot wound.
Donald was born March 18, 1948 in Columbia, TN to the late Mr. Mack and Rebecca “Becky” Runions. He loved to fish when he found time. Most of all he loved to tinker with motors of all sorts. Donald loved to farm and garden and spent a great deal of time doing it. Donald loved helping those who were in need.
Donald is survived by his son, Donald (Leeanna) Runions of Five Points, TN; wife, Barbara Runions of Hohenwald, TN; grandson: Josh (Latasha) Watkins; great-grandchildren: Cadia Watkins, Kaylee Watkins, Dewayne Watkins, Ayden Watkins and Jaylen Watkins; Six siblings: Martha Escue of Summertown, Daisy Harvillie of Mt. Pleasant, Bill (Joyce) Robbin Runions of Hohenwald, TN, Roy W. Runions of Hampshire, Joe Runions of Mt. Pleasant, Lillian Elois Scott of Mt. Pleasant. He is preceded in death by two sisters: Margarett Gibson and Elaine Harris.
Services for Mr. Donald Runions will be Thursday at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home with interment following at Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM – 9:00PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Elmo Anderson, Brandon Runions, Bubba Runions, Chris Angus, Bill Runions, and Roy Runions will serve as pallbearers.
