Dorothy W. Parker Austin, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Mt. Pleasant Health & Rehab.
Dorothy was born on September 29, 1918 to the late John Wilson Wuska and Mary Lorencuiz in Warwick County, Virginia. Dorothy worked as a secretary at the Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company. She was a member of Colony Friends Church and was member of Women of the Moose, Warwick Chapter 1386 for over fifty years.
A memorial service to celebrate Dorothy’s life will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Church of God with Bro. Tony Curtis officiating.
Dorothy is survived by her son Frederick (Carole) Parker of Virginia; daughter Mary Campbell of Kentucky; sister-in-law Sara N. Wuska of Alabama; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded by her sons James Parker and Bobby Parker; parents John Wilson and Mary Wuska; three brothers; and two sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Mt. Pleasant Church of God Building Fund, 507 Walnut Street, Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee 38474.
