Ellen Ann Anderson

Ellen Ann Anderson, age 70, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Life Care Center of Columbia.

Ellen was born on October 22, 1945 to Joe D. Brooks Sr. and Mary Catherine Crowder Brooks in Hampshire, Tennessee. Ellen was an educational assistant at Mt. Pleasant High School. She had a great love for special education children; they were a part of her life. Ellen was an avid reader and loved arts and crafts. She was very talented. Ellen was family oriented. She deeply loved her husband and son. She was an excellent mother and wife. Ellen was a faithful member of Beech Hill Church of Christ.

The family will visit with friends on Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Danny Douglas and Randy Kersey officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.

Ellen is survived by her brothers Vernon (Joan) Brooks of Mt. Pleasant and Joe D. (April) Brooks Jr. of Mt. Pleasant; sister Geraldine (Don) Hiner of Columbia; nieces and nephews Lorrie Brooks, Joe Brooks Jr., Jeff (Robin) Brooks, Waverly (Stephanie) Jackson, Barry (Jill) Brooks, Debbie (Marty) Spears, Stephen (Lori) Brooks, and Chris Brooks; and special friend Gloria Rich.

Ellen was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Anderson; son Troyce Anderson; parents Joe D. and Mary Catherine Brooks Sr.; siblings Gerald “Pete” Brooks and Bill Brooks; and nephew Billy Brooks.

Pallbearers will be Waverly Jackson, Barry Brooks, Stephen Brooks, Chris Brooks, Jeff Brooks, Joey Brooks, and George C. Brooks.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Beech Hill congregation; Mt. Pleasant Civitan Club; Randy McNeece; Tommy Wolivar; and Ricky (Terry) Massey.
