Ernest Gene "O" Estes

Mr. Ernest Gene “O” Estes, age 63, of Pulaski, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014.
Gene was born on January 23, 1951 to the late Charles Herbert Estes, Jr. and Glenda Olean Holley Estes in Pulaski, Tennessee. He was married to Janet Faye Johnson Estes on February 16, 1984. Gene was talented in many areas and worked as a house painter, carpenter and repairman throughout his life. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Estes bravely fought a fifteen year battle with cancer and was known as the “Miracle Man” by the Maury Regional Medical Cancer Center Staff.
He is survived by his mother: Glenda Olean Estes of Pulaski, TN; daughter: Heather Estes of Columbia; wife: Janet Faye Estes of Columbia, TN; siblings: Larry and his wife Sharon Estes, Charles Glenn Estes, Wendell and his wife Melissa Estes, Brenda Fralix, Reba Hite and Shirley and her husband Mike Murphy; several nieces, nephews, cousins, grand-nieces, nephews and second cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father: Charles Herbert Estes, Jr.; very special nephew: Justin Ray “Stoney” Estes; and sister-in-law: Donna Estes.
A celebration of life memorial service for Gene will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 12 Noon in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service at 12 Noon.
