Gladys "Geneva" Orr

Gladys “Geneva” Haygood Orr, 96, formerly of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, May 18. She was happily married for 71 years to her husband, Hugh Orr. She was a member of Craft Memorial Church in Columbia.

A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Geneva Orr on Tuesday, May 24 at 12:30 pm in Bear Creek Cemetery in Culleoka, TN. Rev. Tommy Vann and Rev. Angy Trimmer will be officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday morning from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon prior to the service at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. Pallbearers for the service will be: Mitch Morgan, Jonathan Light, Kenny Orr, Chuck Kelley, James Light, Aubrey Flagg, and Jerry Wright. Honorary pallbearers will be David and Stan Shirley, and Andy Wiltse.

Geneva is survived by: two sons, Charles (Lois) Orr of Mt. Juliet and Lowery “Joe” (Martha) Orr of Oakland, TN; one daughter, Carolyn (James) Light of Daphne, AL; six grandchildren: Lori Orr, Kenny (Shelia) Orr, Cyndi Orr (Mitch) Morgan, Sherry (Robert) Orr Gardner, Jonathan (Kate) Light, Allison Light (Chuck) Kelley; 8 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Joseph Madden Haygood, Jr. of Pulaski, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, and one brother.
