Gracie B. Green

Gracie B. Green, age 88, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015 after an extended illness.

Gracie was born on July 14, 1927 in Giles County to the late Johnie Nelson and Addie Bell Tougett Nelson. Gracie married William “Bill” Green on February 26, 1956. Gracie worked for TKM, Weather Tamer, and Winning Moves. She loved to quilt and work in the garden. She greatly loved her flower garden. She was a member of Loyal Chapel Free Will Baptist.

The family will visit with friends on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Gracie is survived by her loving husband William “Bill” Green; son Freddy (Mary) Middlebrooks of Walnut Springs, Texas; daughters Carol (David) Bradford of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, Connie James of Columbia, Tennessee, and Donna (Greg) James of Culleoka, Tennessee; sister Adele Page of Columbia, Tennessee; brother Franklin Nelson of Columbia, Tennessee; grandchildren Michelle Baldwin (Middlebrooks), Toni Lynn Harrington, Jason James, Ken James, David Green, Jonathan Bradford, Michael James; and several great grandchildren.

Gracie was preceded in death by her parents Johnie and Addie Nelson; daughter Ellen Lois Evans; and brother Ernest Nelson.

Pallbearers will be David Green, Jonathan Bradford, Michael James, Jason James, Kenneth James, and Will Green.
