Howard Carl Moore

Howard Carl Moore, age 76, of Culleoka, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at his home.

Howard was born on January 6, 1938 to the late Vestal Moore Sr. and Louella Ledbetter Moore in Bryant Station, Tennessee. Howard married Velma Jo Brooks and they shared fifty-eight years together. He had a farm and worked hard with Velma in taking care of a big garden every year. He raised tobacco, milked cows, and was a workaholic. Howard worked at the DuPont Plant in Columbia for twenty years and worked at ICP for twenty years before retiring.

The family will visit with friends on Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home. Immediately following the visitation, the family will make a procession to Haynes Cemetery for a graveside service.

Howard is survived by his loving wife Velma Moore of Culleoka, Tennessee; sons Carl Moore (Kathy) of Columbia, Tennessee and Dean Moore of Culleoka, Tennessee; daughter Debbie Davis (Mike) of Culleoka, Tennessee; grandsons Wesley Farmer, Dwight Moore, and Cody Davis; granddaughter Gail Owens; and six great-grandchildren.

Howard is preceded in death by his parents Vestal Moore Sr. and Louella Moore.
