Inez Thomas

Inez Himes McClendon Thomas, age 80, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2015 at NHC Pulaski.

Inez was born on July 2, 1935 in Columbia, Tennessee to the late Ruff Himes and Rachel Embler Himes. Inez loved to be in the garden. She enjoyed canning and reading. Inez loved to babysit and would babysit for everyone. She was of the Baptist faith.

The family will visit with friends on Saturday, August 1, 2015 from noon until 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Funeral services will be held immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. on August 1, 2015 in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Wade West officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah Cemetery.

Inez is survived by her daughters Georgia Faye Towe, Carolyn Louise Montgomery, and Teresa Gale Carter; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Inez was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Thomas; special friend Joe Akins; son Ronald McClendon; daughter Penny McClendon; sisters Rebecca Runions, Minnie Mae Himes, Rosa Bell Akins, Lucille Jett, and Barbara Meredith; and brothers Frank Himes, Jim Himes, Lonnie, Himes, Webb Himes, Alfred Himes, Dewey Himes, and Ersley Himes.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
