Melissa Yevonne Holt

Melissa Yevonne Holt, age 61, of Town Creek, Alabama, died December 13, 2017. Born August 23, 1956, in Decatur, Alabama, she is the daughter of Margaret Elizabeth Oliver and the late Charles English Oliver.

Melissa was the owner of a home and office cleaning business for many years. She enjoyed and was passionate about cooking, cleaning, family gatherings, quilting, flower gardening, and her favorite time of the year was the holidays. Melissa was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, daughter, and grandmother. Melissa never met a stranger and she loved to have good conversations. She always cared for and helped everyone she met and especially her family. She was full of love, hope, and charity. Her majestic love for life and positive attitude emanated from her sweet spirit. The world was truly a better place with Melissa Holt in it. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Melissa is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 21 years Billy Holt, her son Brian Calvert along with three grandchildren; David Calvert, Jonathon Kennedy, and Christopher Kennedy. She was also survived by her mother Margaret Oliver and her mother and father-in-law Frank and Pat Holt.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 15, 2017 at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. Services will immediately follow visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Jerry Yerks Officiating.
