Paul Leslie “Les” Bedford, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at Maury Regional Medical Center, with family by his side.
Les was born January 19, 1946, in Nashville, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Dorris Bedford and Martha Fortner Rosenberg and Margaret “Peggy” Steele Dilks, the mother of his three daughters. He was the husband of Susan Williams Bedford, whom he married on June 2, 1990. He was a graduate of Vanderbilt University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He retired in 2011 from TVA. Les was a fun-loving, humorous husband, father and grandfather. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his loving wife and family. He also enjoyed hunting and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Bedford of Columbia, TN; three daughters, Melissa (Wayne) Gutekunst of Delran, NJ, Sheri (Mike) Buleza of Chesterfield, VA and Leslie (Pete) Bybel of Spring Hill, TN; eight grandsons, Michael, Owen, Nevin, Westyn and Madden Buleza, Zachary and Jack Gutekunst and Peter Bybel; two sisters, Lucile Fink of Ft. Myers, FL and Nancy (Bill) Egbert of Franklin, TN.
The family will celebrate Paul’s life with a private family gathering at a later date.
