Paul Wayne Treece

April 27, 1942 — March 21, 2017

Paul Treece, age 74, of Columbia, passed away into the arms of his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia.

Paul was born on April 27, 1942 in Adamsville, Tennessee to Chester Everette Treece and Esther Lee Fletcher Treece. He was a truck driver by trade.

Paul Treece, was a man of many talents, a simple and religious man. Paul adored his wife Ute, and she was his one love. They were married for twenty-two wonderful years. He was dedicated and loyal to everyone he met, especially his family. He was not only caring toward his family, he also cared very much about Ute’s kids and entire family. He was always there for all of them.

He was outgoing and would strike up a conversation with even strangers, and talk with them like he had known them all his life. He enjoyed fixing things and was always very good at it. He would find old lawn mowers, weed-eaters or anything that had a motor and fixed it like new. His buddy Ray was always there with him to be in on the fixin’. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and his faith was more to him that just attending church. He was the type of man to be admired by the way he lived his life. If our world had more men like Paul we would have a better world. He will be sadly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren and all his friends.

Left behind to treasure Paul’s memory are his wife: Ute Treece of Columbia; children: Sherry (Kevin) Brown of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Stanley Treece of Adamsville, TN, grandsons: Cody (Brittney) Brown and Kirby (Lauren) Brown and Hunter (Cortney) Treece; great-grandson: Jaxon Brown; daughter-in-law: Freida Treece; members of his adopted family including children: Tom (Carol) Hall of Elizabethtown, KY, Bonnie Smith of Elizabethtown, KY, and Linda (Mark) Cox of Elizabethtown, KY, Christina (Duane) Fenwick of Bardstown, KY and Robert (Loretta) Hall of Elizabethtown, KY; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister: Laverne (Carl) Liddy of Adamsville, TN.
