Pearline Brown McAnally, age 85, died peacefully on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at The Gardens at Providence Place in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee after an extended illness.
She was born to the late Hubert Brown and the late Anna Lorena Tice Brown in Culleoka, TN. She married the late Henry Ford McAnally, who died on May 11, 1997, and they were married 42 years. Together they owned and operated a dairy farm for a number of years.
Pearline was not only a dedicated wife to her husband, she was also a very devoted mother to her two children. She often enjoyed sewing and making very beautiful clothes for her children and grandchildren as they grew up. She was thought of as an exceptional seamstress by others as well. In addition to sewing, she enjoyed growing vegetables and flowers as well as watching various wildlife that she often would spot as she looked out the window of her home.
As a young lady and before she met her husband, she worked at The Farm Bureau Insurance Company in Columbia. She often talked through the years of how she enjoyed her time there.
Pearline is survived by her sister, Doris (James) Brown Hubbell of Columbia; brother, Edward Brown; two daughters, Rhonda (Herbert) Bratcher of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; Lesa (Jeff) Lightfoot of Summertown, Tennessee; grandchildren, T. J. (Kristie) Bratcher of Fairview, Tennessee, Andrea Bratcher Milele of Old Hickory, Tennessee, Addie Lightfoot and Sarah Lightfoot, both of Summertown, Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Hunter Bratcher and Chase Bratcher of Fairview, Tennessee, and Mitchel Milele of Old Hickory, Tennessee; as well as by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lois Brown Hickman and brother-in-law, W. T. Hickman.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Columbia, Tennessee.
Pallbearers will be: Patrick Hickman, T. J. Bratcher, Hunter and Chase Bratcher and Mitchel Milele. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Employees of The Gardens at Providence Place and Gentiva Hospice Staff, Dr. John O. Simmons and staff, Dr. Michael Tyler and staff and special thank you to Judy Shaw for her kindness and care.
