Richard "Dick" Benton Davis

Richard “Dick” Benton Davis, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at his residence in Duck River, Tennessee.
Richard was born on July 16, 1932 in Lawrence County, Tennessee to the late Arthur B. Davis and Gearline Ketchum Davis. Richard was a self-employed carpenter. Richard served in both the United States Navy and the United States Air Force during the 1950s and 1960s.
The family will visit with friends on Saturday, May 30, 2015 from Noon until 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. Funeral services will immediately follow at Henryville Cemetery in Lawrence County, Tennessee with Rev. Raymond Belew officiating.
Richard is survived by his son Edward “Eddie” Davis of Duck River, Tennessee and nephew Shane (Debbie) Murphy of Huntsville, Alabama.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife Frances Carden Davis; parents Arthur B. and Gearline Davis; sister Grace Ann Shannon; and brother Frank Davis.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Davis, Shane Murphy, Jack Hackert, and DeWayne Cantrell.
The family would like to say a special thank you for their care of Richard to Paula Tennant, Becca Hughes, and the nurses of Hospice Compassus.
