William “Bill” J. Schurr, age 82, of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at his residence.
Bill was born on March 1, 1932 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Harry Schurr and Claire Schurr. Bill served his county in the United States Army in the 1950s. He was a salesman, mechanic, and service manager at Sears for many years. Bill was a member of St. Catherine’s.
Bill survived by his daughter Terri Venere of Columbia, Tennessee; son Bill (Lynne) Schurr of Pennsylvania; grandsons Steve (Joy) Venere of Culleoka, Tennessee, Dan (Tiffany) Venere of Columbia, Tennessee, and Eric Schurr of Pennsylvania; great grandson Christopher Venere of Culleoka, Tennessee; great granddaughters Chez Czajka of Culleoka, Tennessee, Madison Venere of Columbia, Tennessee, and Bella Venere of Columbia, Tennessee; brother James Schurr; and sister Marianne Goodrich.
Bill is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Bleam Schurr; his parents Harry and Claire Schurr; and his brothers Harry Schurr and Mike Schurr.
An inurnment was conducted on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Polk Memorial Gardens.
