Bobby Ray England “Sodie”, age 79, passed away on December 26, 2019, at his home in Mt Pleasant, Tennessee.
Bobby was born on July 13, 1940, to the late John Bumpas England and Margaret Crews England. He was known for his smile and friendliness. He was an avid sports fan, loved UT, and played baseball. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Mt Pleasant, Tennessee.
Bobby is survived by his wife: Nancy England; daughter: Ashley England; grandson: Matt Lovett; granddaughter: Morgan Lovett; brother-in-law: Johnny (Marty) Brooks; sister-in-law: Judy (Gene) Baxter; sister-in-law: Mary Brooks; special cousin: Faye Brawner; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by his good friends, Jimmy Attkisson and Tot Roddy. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter: Tracy England; sister-in-law: Linda (Ronnie) Grigsby; brother-in-law: Jimmy Brooks; and his best friend: Jack Dodd.
There will be a memorial service on Monday, December 30, 2019, at Williams Funeral Home, Mt Pleasant, Tennessee at 2:00 PM. The family will visit with friends beginning at 1:00 PM until the time of service.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Fresenius Kidney Care of Columbia, Avalon Hospice and Tim Brashears.
