Carol Sue Bryan Eckman, age 81, of Columbia, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017.
Carol was born on May 23, 1936 to John Arthur Karns and Sammie Helen Green Karns in Marshall, Arkansas. Carol received her Master’s in Education. She began teaching at Whitthorne Middle School and finished her career at Central High School. Carol taught primary accounting, business law, and math. She taught in the Maury County school system for thirty years.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Williams Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Rev. James Norton officiating. Private burial will follow after in Hickman County.
Carol is survived by her husband George Allen Eckman; son Michael (Julia) Bryan; daughter Kim Bryan Meek; grandchildren Cody (Megan) Meek, and Caroline (Brandon) Faircloth; great-granddaughter Aubrey Meek; step-sons Tony Eckman, Spencer Eckman, Travis Eckman, Josh Eckman, and Ryan Eckman.
