Charles W. Allen, 67, of Columbia, Tennessee passed away on February 19, 2019 at Sumner Regional Medical Center.
Charles was born on December 18, 1951 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Lonnie Allen and Jessie Irene Martin Freels. He was an excellent storyteller and a practical joker who loved to play pranks on people. He was a very talented artist and often wrote poems, painted and drew pictures. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by three sisters, Ruby (Derrick) Ervin, Ollie Parham, and Gracia Foster; and a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Patricia Sanders Allen.
Services will be Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Williams Funeral Home, Columbia at 2:00 PM with Bro. Kevin Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Moses Cemetery on Thick Road. Family will visit with friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that you consider becoming an organ donor to honor his memory.
