Chester Eugene Monday

Chester Eugene Monday, age 69, passed away on January 21, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN.

Chester was born on August 12, 1951, in Johnson City, TN to parents Clyde Franklin and Irma Lee Wright Monday.

Later in life, Chester made a living working at the Willow Run General Motors Plant in the Car Assembly line in Michigan, and as years went on he made a career out of it which brought him down to Columbia, TN working at the Saturn plant until his retirement.

Chester was known as the sweetest man alive. Always shining a smile everywhere he went. He has been a faithful member at First Family Baptist Church.

A service will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, with Stephen Livengood officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, January 25, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Iris Room at Williams Funeral Home.

Chester is preceded in death by his parents.
Chester is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Ella Lincoln Monday; sons: Jason and Jeff Monday (Kimberly Brunell) of Culleoka, TN; and his grandchildren: Faith Monday, Christian Monday, Kyle Monday, Kristopher McGrath, Cameron Monday, and Tyler Cumming.

Chester will be greatly missed.
