Cynthia Sowell

June 16, 1942 — August 5, 2021

Cynthia Sue Sowell, 79 of Lawrenceburg, TN peacefully passed away August 5th, 2021 surrounded with love by the beautiful family she created.

She was born June 16th, 1942 in Syracuse, NY. She was the daughter of Wilfred and Frances Farmer Zapf and the younger sister of Lynda deCordre'.

She was survived by 1 Son James Sowell, 1 Daughter in Law Christy Sowell, 3 Grandsons Derik, Cameron Sowell ( Wife Ruth Sowell) and Brendon Sowell, 1 Granddaughter Savannah Sowell, 2 Nieces Lyann Wulf-Valadez and Laura Kirk and Rick Kirk, 5 Grand Nieces Brittany Wulf , Jillian Swartzel (Husband Thomas Swartzel), Jocelyn Wulf, Olivia and Elizabeth Kirk, 1 Grand Nephew Jonah Wulf and 1 Great Grandchild Carter Anderson Sowell.

Cindy brought the Light of Love, Laughter and the Living Spirit of God, with her, everywhere she went. She was an extraordinarily beautiful woman on the inside and out. She was an inspiration and guiding light to all that entered her life, even animals. She loved baking with all of the kids, sharing stories and was always very quick witted with her comedy. She could make anyone, in any situation, laugh.

Cindy has always shown everyone unconditional love, strength, courage, laughter and the true beauty of Life. She had an unwavering belief in Jesus, she never had a doubt in her mind or a question of if he was real, she simply always knew and felt his presence.

Isaiah 40:31 – “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Her Legacy will always “Live Long and Prosper”.
