David W. Henson

David W. Henson, age 80, of Lynnville, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Life Care Center of Columbia.

David was born on January 29, 1939, in Maury County, Tennessee, to Marvin Eugene Henson, Sr. and Frances Trice Henson Lindsey. He was married to Shirley Ann Norman Henson, who preceded him in death on December 22, 2007. He was retired from Mt. Pleasant Transfer, and had driven a truck for 43 years. He loved being social, enjoyed dancing, and bluegrass. David was a hard-working family man, who loved his wife. He was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include his children: Lori (Keith) Grimes of Hickman County, Christopher (Kelley) Henson of Mt. Pleasant, and Steve (Misty) Henson of Lynnville; grandchildren: Quinton (Holly) Boshers, Dustin (Casey) Boshers, Brianna (Stephen Johnson) Boshers, Dylan Henson, Bryan (Tabitha) Henson, Casey (Brennan Dugger) Henson, and Mckayla Henson; 8 great-grand-children; sister: Clara Marshall; brother-in-law: Robert (Dianne) Norman; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Marvin Eugene Henson, Sr. and Frances Lindsey; siblings: Eleanor Henson Fly, Melvin and Marvin Henson, and Margaret Ann Wells Anderson; and granddaughter: Kimberly Michelle Boshers.

Funeral services for David will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with Nathan Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery, in Mt. Pleasant. The family will visit with friends on Monday, August 12, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.

Bill Cochran, Randall Hickman, Jonathan Norman, Dustin Boshers, Will Wisdom, Brad Rasbury, and Keith Norman will serve as pallbearers.
