David "Trey" Christopher Hughes Iii

David Christopher Hughes III “Trey” was born on December 7, 2021, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Trey passed away peacefully in his mommy and daddy’s arms and went into his Poppa’s arms in heaven on December 11, 2021.
Trey was loved endlessly by his mom, dad, grandparents, and great-grandparents as he was the first grandchild and great-grandchild. He was already so spoiled by his aunts, that he had everything imaginable.
Trey is survived by his wonderful parents: Stephanie and Christopher Hughes; grandparents: Rita Hughes, Sean Kelly, and Tonya Wade-Kelly; aunts Allyson Hughes, Lauren Kelly, Sadie Kelly; and uncle: Carlos Alexander Cervantes; great-great-grandmother: Jeanette Bridges; great-grandparents: Joyce Hughes, Harold, and Elaine Kelly, Nicky and Brenda Savage.
Trey is welcomed to heaven by his grandparents: David Christopher Hughes, Sr. “Poppa” and Lori Cook Kelly.
Honorary pallbearers will be close friends and family to Mom and Dad.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Kristin Colvett, Maury Regional NICU, Mother and Baby Staff, Dr. Rodriguez, Hannah Coble, and OBGYN staff.
A graveside for Trey Hughes will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021, with close friends and family. The family asks that you reach out to them for time and location.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, Trey's parents request you make donations to the Maury Regional Foundation NICU Fund. Donations can be made to the MRH Foundation to support the NICU’s Parker’s Book Project, 1224 Trotwood Ave, Columbia, TN 38401, or online.
