Donald Lee McKinney, age 72, went home to his Heavenly Home, Wednesday, September 18, 2019.
Donald was born in Nashville, TN January 7, 1947 to the late Lawrence McKinney and Vera Dysinger McKinney. Just after finishing high school Donald married the love of his life Juana Irwin and they shared 52 wonderful years together. During those years Donald started work with the state of Tennessee Highway Department and moved on to Great Dane Trailers and various other companies always working in and around tractor trailers as a mechanic. Donald was by no means a shy fellow. He was a talker and he never met a stranger. He was also a kind-hearted person that would go out of his way to help other people. Donald is dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Donald is survived by his wife: Juana McKinney; children: Jerrie (Dennis) Manning and Jackie (Lucy) McKinney; grandchildren: Michael Manning, Andrea Manning, Katie McKinney, Rebecca McKinney, and James McKinney; and one sister: Joy Eades.
The Family will have a memorial service celebrating Donald’s life at a later date.
