The Gates of Heaven opened on December 17th to welcome the Spirit of Donna Kopp. She was met there by her son, Eric V. Rockell, her husband, Walter H. Kopp, her parents, stepfather, many dear friends, and her beloved little dog, Skip-Beau. She is survived by her 2 children, daughter Dara M. Bergmann and son, Tad A. Kopp, as well as her daughter-in-law, Deborah Pellam. Donna was sister to Carole J. (Rockwell) Preisach and Dale V. Rockwell, and sister-inlaw to John Preisach, Denise Rockwell, and Edie Kopp. She loved being Oma to Tad E. Kopp, Nicole M. (Kopp) Wilson and their spouses Ashley and Jonathan. She was Great-Oma to Amelia Wilson and was looking forward to the birth of Amelia’s brother, Gavin. Donna was blessed in the last years of her life to have her very good friend and companion, Jim Cannon, with her. Donna was born in Binghamton, NY, and lived for a time in Bavaria, Germany, before settling in Northern Virginia. She came to Minor Hill over 20 years ago, after retiring from being an Editorial Consultant and Organizational Manager in the Washington, DC area. After moving to Tennessee, she immediately became involved with the community and quickly made many friends in her new life in the country. Donna trained to be a Minor Hill First Responder, joined the Pulaski Business and Professional Women’s Association, Senior Friends, and served on the Giles County Library Board. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Pulaski. Donna was a loving, smart, funny, kind, and caring Human Being. She will be remembered and missed by all those who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donna always cared for others, especially those experiencing hardships. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Minister’s Discretionary Fund, First Presbyterian Church, PO Box 174 – 202 S. 2nd St. Pulaski, TN 38478, or to Supportive Services for Veteran Families at: www.hrcapinc.org (designate SSVF in the donation section).
