Donna Kay Nelson Manier
March 18, 1966 — June 19, 2019
Donna Kay Nelson Manier, a resident of Columbia, TN passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
The kind-hearted, larger than life, faithful woman was born here in Maury County on March 18, 1966, to the late Frank and Margie Nelson. Donna spent time serving our community as the Cafeteria Manager for Freedom Middle School. While she served the community’s children at school, she served so many others at home. Her home was open to everyone. She loved and spoiled her kids and grandkids. Donna was a woman of faith, attending Colonial Meadows Church for Christ.
Donna’s life will be celebrated on Friday, June 21, 2019, beginning at 6:00 pm at Colonial Meadows Church for Christ. Brother Ronnie Parrish and Brother Paul Inman will be officiating. Burial will follow at a later date on the grounds of Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends from 4-6 pm prior to the service at Colonial Meadows.
Donna is survived by her husband, William Silas “Billy” Manier, daughter: Kayla (Jeff) Hardison of Columbia; son: Wesley (Kortney) Crigger of Franklin; son: William Joseph Manier of Fairview; daughter: Bridget Nicole (Witt) Cook of Westmoreland, TN; granddaughters: Maranda Hardison and Keeley Dewire; grandsons: Zackary Hardison, Jordan Voss, Jase Manier, Abe, Andrew, and AJ Cook; brother: Glen (Kristin) Nelson; special nieces: Brandy (Jonathan) Norman, Kaylee Nichols and Lettie Kate Nelson; aunt: Wanda Brooks. Donna is also survived by her dear friend Terri Rowland as well as so many other special friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Frankie “Hippie” Nelson and Ricky Nelson.
