Dorothy Stubbs, 95, passed away on June 14, 2020, at Willow Springs Assisted Living in Spring Hill, TN.
Dorothy, better known as "Dot," was born on June 26, 1924, in Richmond, VA, to parents William Henry and Josephine Ware Parrish. Dot spent most of her life in Marietta, Ohio, raising her family with her late husband Joe, whom she was married to for 61 years. She was an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church doing various volunteer work and serving as their long time treasurer.
Dot attended Randolph Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, VA, where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and Math.
Dot is preceded in death by her husband and parents.
She will be greatly missed by her children JoAnne Roder of Duluth, GA; Beth (Mark) Wittekind of Spring Hill, TN and Buddy Stubbs of Old Hickory, TN. Dot will also be missed by her 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at a later date with a private ceremony in Mound Cemetery in Marietta, Ohio.
