Eddie Lee Buchanan, Sr.

Eddie Lee Buchanan, Sr., age 71, passed away on April 09, 2021, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN.
Eddie was born on April 26, 1949, in Columbia, TN to the late Berry and Nettie Maguire Buchanan.
He served for two years in the Navy. He later when on to work as a material handler for the Nissan Company for 28 years until retirement in 2008.
Eddie married the love of his life, Myra, on February 21st, 1992.
Eddie was a devoted Deacon, family man, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He loved being outdoors, appreciating the nature around him drinking his coffee, and loved music and playing the drums and teaching his grandchildren how to play. When he wasn't out enjoying God's creation, he would always be enjoying a hot meal. His wife's cooking was his favorite thing to look forward to everyday, multiple times a day.
A private service will be held in Blevins Hall, with Christopher Taylor officiating. For friends and visitors wanting to pay respects, Williams Funeral Home will have a register book available for signing.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Myra Hampton Buchanan; Children: Stacey (Tobias) Cobb, Eddie (Sonya) Buchanan, Jr., Felecia (Kenny) Frierson-Lawrence, Chanta Frierson; Siblings: Catherine Buchanan and Tommy Buchanan; In-Laws: Nathaniel Hampton, Charlie Hampton, Jewell Hampton, Vera McGill, Dora Whitaker, and Carrie Frierson; Grandchildren: DeAndre' Buchanan, DeVante' Scales, Jaylen Frierson, and De'Montae Frierson; Great-Grandchildren: Shamar Stokes, Santana Buchanan, and Samera Buchanan; and several nieces and nephews.
