Evelyn Mae Anderson

Mrs. Evelyn M. Anderson, age 86, of Columbia, Tennessee passed away at Poplar Estates in Columbia, on Monday, January 22, 2018.

Evelyn was born on February 25, 1931 in Vinton, Iowa to Alfred and Helen Hatcher Peterson. She was the widow of Howard Anderson, who passed away on July 31, 2011. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She was full of hospitality and loved to entertain her friends from church. She especially enjoyed serving them coffee and homemade pies, which were her specialty. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are: her daughter: Sandra (Keith) Studebaker of Columbia; grandchildren: Rebecca (Jesse) Severe of Wisconsin and Brad (Brea) Studebaker of North Carolina; and great-grandchildren: Micaiah Severe, Annika Severe, Brooklyn Studebaker, Beau Studebaker and Breslyn Studebaker. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother: Carl Peterson.

Funeral services for Evelyn will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Eddie Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank Hospice Compassus and The Gardens at Poplar Estates for their loving care of Mrs. Anderson during her final illness. Past and present members of Northside Baptist Church are also appreciated for their love and support.
