Gaynor Campbell Perdue
April 13, 1939 — April 9, 2022
Gaynor Campbell Perdue, age 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at NHC in Columbia, Tennessee.
Gaynor was born on April 13, 1939 in Appleton in Lawrence County, Tennessee to the late Grady R. Campbell and Maelean Hale Campbell.
Gaynor was full of love and life, she never met a stranger and was kind to everyone. When she loved someone, she loved them big! She was a role model for her family. She was the most amazing wife, mom and grandmother.
Gaynor was married to the love of her life Bill for 54 years. Together they were longtime members of the First United Methodist Church in Columbia. They also shared a passion with the Wagon Wheelers, a western square dancing club in Middle Tennessee. Gaynor was also very active in her community.
It was no question she loved her grandchildren, Emily and Will very much. She never missed a single ball game, milestone, or important event in their life. She was the best “Gaga” to her grandchildren and it was one of her proudest accomplishments. She also loved and was proud of her soon to be great granddaughter, Olivia Kathleen.
Pallbearers will be Will Robinson, Brent McKamey, Chip Campbell, Guy Campbell, Gray Campbell, Keith Campbell, Kevin Campbell and Glen Baer.
Gaynor has been reunited with her loving husband Bill Perdue; parents: Grady and Maelean Campbell; and brother: Gable Campbell.
Gaynor is survived by her children: David Perdue, and Beth (Bill) Robinson ; grandchildren: Emily (Brent) Robinson McKamey and Will Robinson (Emma Campbell); brother: Gale Campbell; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends and family on Monday, April 11, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. A service for Gaynor will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee with Rev. Lee Stevenson officiating. Gaynor will be laid to rest in the Polk Memorial Mausoleum.
The family would love to say special thank you to the staff and patients from NHC of Columbia, Tennessee. Their love and support was greatly appreciated by Mrs. Gaynor’s family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to First United Methodist Church of Columbia in Mrs. Perdue’s name.
