Gregory "Greg" Ronald Spears

Gregory “Greg” Ronald Spears, age 45 passed away on August 10, 2018 at his home in Mt. Pleasant surrounded by his loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

The family will visit with friends on Sunday, August 12, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Mike Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.

Greg was born to Ronnie and Shirley Kelton Spears on June 1, 1973. His grandparents were the late John and Willie Mae Tice Spears and the late Haskel Kelton and Alice Kelton McDonough. Greg is survived by his three children John Spears, Will Spears, and Ashley Spears; his parents Ronnie and Shirley Spears; brother Ryan (Pam) Spears; and nieces Mackenzie Spears, Haley Ragsdale, and Jayden Ragsdale. He is also survived by aunts Wilma Chatman, Sondra Wright, Diana (Cliff) Lamb, Kay Spears, Sandra Mayher, Kathleen Brewington; uncles Jeff (Shirley) Kelton, Larry Lebsack, and James Ray Boshers; and many cousins.

Greg lived his entire life in Mt. Pleasant and was a graduate of MPHS. He remained a proud Tiger fan. He was a loving and devoted dad and his children were his greatest joy. After his children, his biggest passions were the Tennessee Vols and anything related to a Ford Mustang. He was a member of First Family Baptist Church.

Pallbearers are Darrell Brady, Anthony Isabell, Jared Smith, Will Jaggers, Scott Dickens, Scooter Shrader, Brian Vick and Marty Kindred.

Honorary Pallbearers are his cousins.
