Gwendolyn J. Seng, born February 5, 1928 in Borger, Texas and died, August 12, 2018 in Franklin, Tennessee, surrounded by her children and husband.
Gwen is preceded in death by her mother and her father. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Seng of Franklin, Tennessee; son, Gene Seng, of Bandera, Texas; daughters: Marcia (Robert) Hoover of Franklin, Tennessee, Nancy (Mark) Xander of Bozeman, Montana, Barbara (Frank) Battisto of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Teresa (Blaine) Mayo of Plano, Texas; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Gwen lived a long and interesting life. She will be remembered as a dear wife and mother, a compassionate and persistent advocate for her family, her friends and everyone that needed her special kind of loving care. She rejoiced in her service to and love of the Lord.
The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 9:00 am at St. Catherine Catholic Church, 3019 Cayce Lane, Columbia, TN 38401. Interment will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts be made to Girl Scouts of America, Birthright or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
