Helen Doreen Huff, age 78, passed away on July 9, 2022, at NHC in Columbia, Tennessee Doreen was born on April 17, 1944, in Winnipeg, Canada to the late Charles Mitchell and Helen Waddell Mitchell. Doreen loved taking care of others. Food, friends, family, and faith were her life. She always wanted to make sure her whole family was in good hands. She was dedicated to her church for many years and enjoyed planning senior luncheons for her fellow members. She would always go all out with food, games, and prizes. Doreen was always the one to show up first for others. Her family, grandchildren, and friends were her world. She was a devoted caretaker and wife to her loving husband. She was a bright light in the world and will be missed deeply. Doreen's life celebration will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 5:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee with Lang Ingram officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to the start of the service at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. Doreen is preceded in death by her parents; and son William "Bill" Huff. Doreen is survived by her husband: William Huff; children: Jackie Jones, Michael Huff (Ashley), and Steven Huff (Joanna); grandchildren: Evan, Christopher, Brynn, Kate, Brylee, Madi, Andrew, Carter, Jackson, Jacob, and Jared; siblings: Beryl Brandt, and Peter Mitchell; daughter-in-law: Brenda Huff; nieces and nephews: Kelly Wallace, Robin Woody, Kenneth Brandt, and David Brandt. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to a charity of your choice in Doreen's name. Williams Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
