James Edwin Watson

James Edwin Watson, age 78, passed away on May 1, 2019 at NHC of Columbia.

James was born November 15, 1940 to the late Henry Herbert & Mary Evie Mantlo Watson. He and his wife, Ann Barnickle Watson were married for more than 50 years when she passed away. He worked as a truck driver for many years before retirement. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son: Bruce Watson of Murfreesboro; daughters: Carol Odom of Columbia and Sandra (Mike) Walters of Columbia; granddaughters: Candice (Barrett) Johnson, Heather Watson and Katelyn Watson; grandsons: Cody (Kelly) Odom, Winston (Jessie) Walters and Chris Watson; great-grandchildren: Triston Watson, Tayler Watson, Katherine Johnson, Baylor Johnson, Ellie Walters, Jase Walters and Owen Odom; brothers: Ray (Charlotte) Watson of Lawrenceburg and Stanley (Barbara) Watson of Franklin. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Ann, and brother: Tony Lynn Watson.

Services will be Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Williams Funeral Home, Columbia with Terry Peery officiating. Family will visit with friends Friday, May 3, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment will be at Polk Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be: Cody Odom, Winston Walters, Barrett Johnson, Chris Watson, Darryl Watson, Keith Watson, Nick Watson, Gene Barnickle and Tim Barnickle.
