Jeffrey Brian Barnes passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021. He was born on August 2, 1979, to his parents Marvin and Clara Kennedy.
Jeffrey loved all five of his boys. Three of his own and two he was helping, raise like his own. He loved anything to do with the Rebel flag. He loved spending his time fixing his truck. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors. He was an extremely hard worker; he was employed at Don Wood plumbing for 15 years. He was a great father. You often heard his saying, “It is what it is.”
He is survived by his sons: Brian (Aspen Edgin) Barnes, Jacob Austin Barnes, Brady Ethan Barnes; life partner: Amanda McDow; surrogate sons: Clayton Musgrove, Rickey Musgrove; mothers of his children: Beth Powell and Melissa Barnes; sister: Sherrie (Kenny) Beaty; brother: Jason (Robin) Bishop; sister-in-law: Beth Whaley; father-in-law: John Whaley; stepmother-in-law: Annie Walls; lots of nieces and nephews; and best friend: James Wheatley.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his infant daughter, Emily Ann Barnes; and mother-in-law: Peggy Clark.
A visitation for Jeffrey will be held Tuesday, September 21st, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with the service following at 1:00 PM in the Chapel at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee.
The family requests that everyone in attendance please wear a mask for the safety of others.
