John Owen Davidson, Jr., 64, passed away on April 11th in his home in Hohenwald, TN surrounded by his family.
John was born on October 22, 1955, in Hampshire, TN to parents the late John Owen and Mary Bell Sharpe Davidson who survives him. John or as some knew him "Johnny" or "Johnny D.", loved to seek out "hidden treasures" or picking as we might call it. He also loved to fish and tinker with cars.
John worked for many years for BE&K construction as a pipe-fitter. After that he spent time working for Sonic Builders of Hartsville, TN helping to build Sonic restaurants all over the Southern United States. John was of the Christian Faith.
A Graveside service honoring John will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at Polk Memorial Gardens. Due to COVID-19 requirements from the CDC, the family will be dispersing information privately. Pastor John Rawdon will be officiating.
Honorary pallbearers serving for Mr. Davidson will be; Dr. Kamal, Dr. Reddy, and Dr. Mallipeddi all with Maury Regional Medical Center as well as Dr. Schneider from Vanderbilt Medical Center. The MRMC Emergency Room Physicians and Staff, the Nurse's of the second and third floor, the Radiology Department, The Lewis Heath Center. The family wants to say a heartfelt thank you for all their compassion and grace.
John is survived by his wife of 38 years, Melissa Davidson; his sons; Blake Davidson (Kelly) and Brandon Davidson (Brande); brothers: Roger Davidson, Dennis Davidson and Ronald Davidson (Elaine); niece: Monica DePriest; nephews: Andrew Nance, Ben Davidson, and Jeremy Davidson; sister-in-law: Laurie Pruitt (Randall). He is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews. John is preceded in death by his brother, Randy Davidson.
