Joseph Oliver Grimble

Mr. Joseph Oliver Grimble, age 78, a resident of Amber Lynn Circle Street in Columbia, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2020, at Life Care Center.
Funeral service for Mr. Grimble will be conducted Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. Rev. Graham McMillian is officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Williams Funeral Home.
Born on June 23, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan. Mr. Grimble was the son of the late James and Nellie Grimble. He was employed by Quality Metals in Detroit, Michigan. Joseph was a compassionate, loving, and caring individual. He demonstrated the virtues of a Godly man. Joseph enjoyed the outdoors and was a "hand-on", "fix-it" kind of guy. He was a faithful member of Highland Park Baptist Church. He participated in service-related activities that enhanced the lives of those in need.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children: Randy Grimble of Canton, Michigan, Ray Grimble of Garden City, Michigan and one daughter: Kim Abraham of Taylor, Michigan; grandchildren: Jessia Abraham, James Abraham, Melissa Abraham, and Justin Grimble: Step-children are Rochelle McMillian and Regina Bagwell; Step-grandchildren: Graham McMillian, Ana Kielty, and Ally Bagwell. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.
Pallbearers will be Randy Grimble, Ray Grimble, Jim Abraham, James Abraham, Justin Grimble, James Cunningham, and Donald Bagwell.
