Joy Allen Brown, age 85, of Columbia, Tennessee passed away on May 10, 2018 at her home with her husband by her side.
Joy was born on May 13, 1932 to the late Frank and Ethel Allen in Maury County, Tennessee. She married Fred Brown on April 8, 1951. Joy was a member of the Maury Regional Medical Center Auxillary; she and her husband were also members of Southgate Church of Christ. Joy’s favorite hobbies were knitting, crocheting and crossword puzzles. She was a loving, caring, wife and mother.
Joy is survived by her husband: Fred Brown; daughters: Kimberly Hart and Betsy Pendergras; grandson: Cody Allen Brown; nieces: Deborah Barcus, Mary Jane Trimble, Carol Crabtree, Faye Matthews, and Gina Allen.
The family will visit with friends on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. A Graveside service will be held at 2:00pm at Polk Memorial Gardens with Danny Douglas officiating.
