Kevin Bradley Whitmire

February 23, 2004 — January 25, 2021

Kevin Bradley Whitmire, age 16, passed away on January 25, 2021, in Columbia, TN.
Kevin was born on February 23, 2004, in Lakenheath, England to parents Kevin and Christina Jolly Whitmire.

Ever since Kevin was a child he always told his mama "I'm grown." He has always had an older spirit about him. A person that cares deeply for others with a servant's heart without expecting anything in return. He was defined by his humble yet determined natures, he was dependable all of the time with a heart of gold. Although he seemed serious at times, Kevin was also quirky. He always wore socks… Always! He and his friends had created a ranking system for who could find and wear the most ridiculous socks, seasonal always got extra points. He would even swim in socks.

Kevin was an all-around athlete, he enjoyed most sports, except basketball, he played hockey, baseball, and football however, his passion landed in fishing. He was an avid fisherman something he shared with his father since he was young. Kevin was a member of the Central High School Bass Fishing Team where he could compete doing the thing he enjoyed most. Kevin also had an interest in cooking and true to his nature he shared that skill by teaching his brothers to cook as well. Recently, he had been working on perfecting his pizza dough. He enjoyed playing video games with his brothers, when they were little he would take out the batteries of their controllers to make them think they were playing. He enjoyed spending time with them his family more than anything. He loved his family no matter the distance, and they need to know he loved them too. Kevin is deeply loved by his many friends and family and will be dearly missed.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm prior to service time. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at 2:00 pm in the Worship Center at First Family First Baptist Church of Columbia, with Ryan McMichael officiating.
