Lillian Doris Malugin, age 90, passed away at her home surrounded by family Sunday, May 23, 2021, in Columbia, Tennessee. Doris was born May 20, 1931, in Columbia, Tennessee to the late Burton Love Burns and Rosa Mae Shepard Burns.

Doris was a lifetime resident of Columbia, Tennessee. After she finished school she married the love of her life Thomas Malugin March 29, 1950, before he went overseas during the Korean War. Doris worked for many years at Tennessee Knitting Mills and retired from Maury Manufacturing. After retiring Doris volunteered for over 20 years at Maury Regional Medical Center. Throughout her entire life, she attended Riverview Baptist where she was an active member for over 50 years. When Doris had time to herself she would often spend time reading a good book, or crocheting another beautiful blanket for someone in her family. She really loved to travel and would take in the scenery, but on the ground only, she would never fly in an airplane. Doris was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She is deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

Doris is survived by her children: Kenny (Toni) Malugin, Judy (David) Bratton, and Dennis (Susie) Malugin; grandchildren: Shane (Jen) Malugin, Amanda (Corey Webster) Bratton, Stephanie (Victor) Holloway, Lucas (Crystal) Ramsay, Lauren (Derrick) Powell, Shelby (Dillon) Scott, Blake Malugin, and Brooklynn Malugin; and 10 great-grandchildren: siblings: Donny (Wanda) Burns and Hazeline Long; and daughter-in-law: Carla Malugin. Doris is preceded in death by her husband: Thomas Malugin; granddaughter: Christy Bratton; and son Michael Malugin who passed May 20, 2021.

The family will visit with friends Thursday, May 27, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, TN. Funeral services for Doris will be held Friday, May 28, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, TN with Bro. David Buffaloe officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers are: Max Hannemann, Shane Malugin, Corey Webster, Dillon Scott, Blake Malugin, and Jeff Long.
