Marjorie Horner

March 25, 1934 — January 2, 2022

Marjorie Smith Horner passed away peacefully at NHC Pulaski, TN with her husband, William of 65 years, at her side. Marge was born in East Tennessee, Rogersville in Hawkins County.

She is preceded in death by her son William L. Horner III. Parents Jess W. and Sally Smith, immigrants from Scotland, and 3 brothers.

Leaves behind, her best friends of 14 years Connie and David Braswell, Punta Gorda, Florida. Friends Tom and Pam Scott & family Wayne County, Greg and Rene Walls, Pulaski. Gene and Nellie Fralix Nashville as well as several nieces and nephews.

Marge followed her husband William, in his career of Construction Engineering to Costa Rica, Grand Bahamas, Abaco, and the Adros Islands Bahamas for 8 years.

Marge pursued a career as Registered Cosmetologist in Virginia and Tennessee. She pursued a career in the fashion Industry, was owner operator of Dress Shops, in Fort Pierce, Florida and Madison Heights, Virginia. She returned to her home state of Tennessee choosing Pulaski and Lawrenceburg as favorite cities, became part owner/operator of Deerfield Flea Market Lawrenceburg, TN for 8 years, building friendships with several people who frequently came to visit at Flea Market.

Marge was an avid supporter with generous donations to Mathews 25 thrift shop and God’s Store House in Pulaski, TN.

Her greatest joy was to see that those in need received food and assistance with utility cost.

Marjorie lived a full life, achieved and exceeded her American Dream. Now she has returned to Mother Earth from which she first became.
