Marjorie Selman, age 80, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018 at her home in Columbia, Tennessee. Marjorie was born August 3, 1938 in Westerly, Rhode Island to the late Myra Peabody.
Marjorie and her husband of 61 years moved to Columbia, Tennessee in 1996 following their retirement. Her family describes her as having a keen mind and a love of finding a good bargain. She also loved raising her poodles with her husband. But most of all she was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She is loved and will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
Marjorie is survived by her husband: Lee Selman; son: Gary (Stacy) Selman Grandchildren: Jason (Amber) Selman, Samantha (Hunter) Vernon and Alecia Salvati; great grandson: Levi Vernon; sisters: Gloria Jones and Joyce Pattoneri; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter: Donna Salvati.
A graveside service for Marjorie will be held Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Polk Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Marjorie’s name to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
