Norma Jean Hardison

January 20, 1926 — January 13, 2021

Norma Jean Hardison, 94 years old, passed from this life on January 13, 2021, at Life Care of Columbia. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Clarence B. Hardison and Hettie Cheek Hardison.

Jean attended Maury County schools and Columbia Business College. During her years she worked at Middle Tennessee Bank; Anderson Bros., as a credit-office manager; secretary at Middle Tennessee Experiment Station; bookkeeper and secretary in the business office at Columbia Military Academy. Jean lived in Dallas, Texas for 25 years where she was a realtor for 20 years. She was a retired member of Tennessee UDC since 1998 and has been a faithful member of Graymere Church of Christ for several years.

She was preceded in death by her precious 12-year-old son, Ray Roberts; three brothers: Milton Hardison, Clarence (Sammy) Hardison, Paul Hardison; two sisters: Mildred Hardison Womack and Christine (Dottie) Harmon.

She is survived by her sister: June Hardison Turner of Columbia; two nieces: Diane Hardison Beatty of Acworth, Georgia, Jean Ann Turner of Columbia; nephews: Dennis Hardison of Columbia, Don B. (Jan) Harmon of Decatur, Alabama, Jack Turner of Columbia, Jim Turner of Columbia, and Paul D. (Peggy) Womack of Knoxville.


Graveside service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Morton Cemetery.
