Rebecca Jane “Peyton” Cook, 76, of Mount Pleasant, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at her residence.
Rebecca was born on September 2, 1941 to the late James R. Peyton and Annie Henson Peyton in Mount Pleasant, TN. She was a graduate of Haylong High School. Rebecca was a faithful member of Locust Street Church of Christ in Mount Pleasant. She was a member of The Pioneers, the retirement community of Bell South. The love Rebecca had for her family was abundant.
The family will visit with friends and family on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Terry Chapman officiating. The family will visit from 1:00 PM until service time on Wednesday. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.
Rebecca is survived by her loving family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Brooks Cook.
Pallbearers will be Matthew White, Jerry Pritchett, Ted Bloodworth, Jim Goetz, Cole White, Bentley Moss, Harold Hinson, and Hendley Edwards.
