Richard Earle Kirby

Richard Earle Kirby, age 78, passed away on September 02, 2021. He was born on March 23, 1943, in Virginia to his parents, Edwin Kirby and Susan Bierer Kirby.
Richard loved guitars, he collected and rebuilt many in his life. He enjoyed playing guitars with his granddaughter Gracie. Ever since a very young age, Richard was fascinated with aliens, he enjoyed watching any and every alien documentary he could find. He served in the United States Air Force and fought in the Vietnam war. Later in life, he worked as a computer systems analyst with IBM. He was a faithful member of the Presbyterian church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Florence Kirby; daughters: Kathy Kirby of Columbia, Cheryl O’Leary of Auburn, Alabama; grandchildren: Gracie, Haze, Joseph, Sarah, Patrick, Timothy; great-granddaughter: Nyla.
