Robert Brittain, age 80, passed away on August 7th, 2021 in Columbia, Tennessee. Robert was born on January 16th, 1941 to the late Thomas Myrion and Ila Griffin Brittain in Oxford, Michigan.
Robert was a faithful member of the Shady Grove United Methodist Church and the community. He cherished spending time with his family and making many memories. Something that Robert really enjoyed, was to go check out the latest antique car shows coming into town, and when he just wanted to sit down and relax he would just kick back in his favorite recliner and watch TV.
A graveside inurnment will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at Shady Grove United Methodist Cemetery in Duck River, Tennessee.
Robert is survived by his wife of 17 years, Winnie Brittain; sons: James Brittain, Robert Brittain II, and Anthony Brittain; step-daughter: Darlene West-Jernigan; 20 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of family in Michigan.
Robert is preceded in death by two sons: Clark Peters and Daniel Brittain; his first and second wife; six sisters; and three brothers.
